A4 Size in Pixels – PrintPixel Tool
A4 is the standard document size in most of the world: 210 × 297 mm. Here are the pixel dimensions you need to print a full-bleed A4 image at common resolutions.
| Resolution | Pixels |
|---|---|
| 300 PPI | 2480 × 3508 px |
| 240 PPI | 1984 × 2806 px |
| 200 PPI | 1654 × 2339 px |
| 150 PPI | 1240 × 1754 px |
Pixel dimensions are computed from the physical size of A4 (210 × 297 mm) at each resolution.

| 150 PPI | 1240 × 1754 px | 21.0 × 29.7 cm |
Pixel counts are computed from the real physical dimensions of A4 (210 × 297 mm) at each resolution — they are not hard-coded. To get these values for any other print size, use the calculator above.
Practical details
A4 at 300 PPI needs 2480 × 3508 pixels — the resolution most print shops expect for a full-quality A4. At 150 PPI, 1240 × 1754 pixels is usually enough for a document that will be read at arm's length rather than examined up close.
Because A4's ratio (1:1.414) is close to, but not exactly, the 3:2 of a typical photo, a full-bleed A4 print from a camera photo will usually need a small crop on the longest edges.
